- England house prices grew by 10.7% in the year to February 2022, up from 10.0% in January 2022.
- The South West and East of England were the fastest growing regions with annual growth of 12.5% in the year to February 2022.
- The lowest annual growth was in London, where prices increased by 8.1% over the year to February 2022.
- Across England, detached houses showed the largest increase out of all property types, growing by 14.4% in the year to February 2022 to £469,000.
- The lowest annual change was in flats and maisonettes which increased by 7.8% in the year to February 2022 to £250,000.
- Northern Ireland saw house prices increase by 7.9% over the year to Quarter 4 (October to December) 2021.
- Across England, detached houses showed the largest increase out of all property types, growing by 12.4% in the year to January 2022 to £460,000.
- In February 2022, the most expensive area to purchase a property was Kensington and Chelsea, where the average cost was £1.4 million.
- In contrast, the cheapest area to purchase a property was Burnley, where the average cost was £112,000.
