Stamp Duty Holiday to Be Extended Until End of June 2021

24 February 2021

Rishi Sunak is said to be preparing to introduce a three-month extension to the stamp duty holiday in an attempt not to break the positive momentum of the past few months as Britain emerges from lockdown.

In July last year the government exempted most buyers from the levy if they completed their purchase before March 31, 2021. The holiday enables people to save up to £15,000 in tax.
