- The North East was the fastest growing region with annual growth of 13.3% in the year to August 2021.
- Across England, detached houses showed the biggest increase out of all property types, growing by 12.3% in the year to August 2021 to £438,000.
- In London, average house prices increased by 2.2% in the year to July 2021, down from an increase of 5.1% in June 2021.
- The lowest annual change was in flats and maisonettes which increased by 4.5% in the year to July 2021 to £237,000.
- Across England, detached houses showed the biggest increase out of all property types, growing by 15.7% in the year to June 2021 to £438,000.
- In August 2021, the most expensive area to purchase a property was Kensington and Chelsea, where the average cost was £1.5 million.
- In contrast, the cheapest area to purchase a property was Burnley, where the average cost was £107,000.
